http://lergp.cce.cornell.edu/Veraison to Harvest_2008/Veraison to Harvest 2008_1.pdf - Assessing the correct timing for harvest is a critical decision and should be done with the most information you can gather.  The Cornell grape program, a publication called "Veraison to Harvest" newsletter which goes over this topic well.
